The Sunday Post

This is is Meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer and here are the rules.

It is your chance to re-cap your bookish week, what did your review last week, any new purchases, what will be coming up in your blog next week or generally anything you feel you would like to share with the blogging community.

So, what did I do last week?

I just knew the change to British Summer Time would get me right knackered this week. I was holding the work pager as well and got called over several nights. I don't actually have to go and attend somewhere when I get a pager call, but get asked for advice etc - still get woken up and sometimes it takes a few hours to sort it out, and we still have to attend work the next morning. But it is what it is I suppose, and the job pays for my mortgage and books :)

I'm a bit annoyed, because next week is London Book Fair, and I had submitted  my registration as a visitor in January. When I still hadn't heard anything last week, I gave them a call, and they apparently never received my registration. (even though they send me an email acknowledgement!). All the organiser now are saying is I can send them my email acknowledgement and they can have a look, but I'm not registered to attend. As London Book Fair is not an open event, it now looks like I can't attend. Oh, I'm peeved off, was so looking forward to it, and it would have been my first time. Grrrrr

On a better note … Only 18 days left for my vacation to Spain, and my daughter made me a jug of Sangria yesterday to get me in the mood …

Finish / Start

I finished Under the Dragon's Claw by Alex George, a fantasy novel, Part 1 of the Heartstone Talisman Series (review hopefully written by the end of this week).

I started My Hometown Girl by Karen Rock, a Book Blitz I'm taking part in this week organised by Lola's Book tours (more on this later).
